Topic: Determining the legality of the U.S incursion into Pakistan in pursuit of Osama bin Laden.
The situation took place in May 2, 2011. The U.S launched a mission of sending a team of U.S Seals soldiers into Abbotabad, Pakistan in what was now located as Osama bin Laden’s hideout. The mission was taken in 40 minutes, minutes in which the soldiers landed on an helicopter near where the supposed hideout was located. They proceeded until they made visual contact with bin Laden. They started gunfire, but bin Laden was unarmed and took one of his wives as a human shield. One of the soldiers bullets entered his head, he died instantly. “He did not have time to raise his hands and surrender”.
After the event the soldiers disposed of the body in the ocean.
Our delegation opinion is the following, no human rights were broken. The U.S had all the right reasons to enter to his hideout and take him out. Even though bin Laden was unarmed, he did caused many murders on the U.S and took out the World Trade center, and attempted towards the U.S pentagon, causing a fire. On other events, the leader of terrorist group “Al Qaeda” had already in the early 1990’s bombed 2 hotels and escaped, blaming other people to distract the authorities.
In 1993 he bombed the World Trade Center with a van full of explosives that Al Qaeda members had rented. They attempted to destroy airplanes on the mid-Pacific flights, bombed the U.S embassy and took over 200 lives and 5,000 people were hurt, they bombed a warship in the 2000 and succeeded, on 2002 they took part in the deadliest act of terrorism in the history of Indonesia. and many other attacks until 2010.

In conclusion Egypt is completely in favor on the United States and believes that no illegal act, nor any human rights were broken in this act and that it was the justice that the United States had to do because of all the American citizens that he killed. The U.S made justice and there was nothing illegal in their acts.
Topic A
Topic: Japan illegal whaling in Australia
County: Egypt
Delegate: Luis Daniel Ramírez
May 2010, Japan has been illegally whaling in Australia even though it is forbidden since 25 years ago, the reason they are whaling is with the excuse that they are making scientific research from the whales stomach as part of their culture, Kevin Rudd, prime minister of Australia declares that it is no longer a scientific research, but that they hunt the whales to sell their flesh.
The problem was tried to be solved with negotiation, explained Kevin Rudd but the situation has continued and has come to a point of violence of Australian people attacking Japanese boats. He expressed that legal action is to be taken. He sent a submission to the International Court of Justice. This event was around April earlier in 2011. The ICJ is awaiting Japan’s response which is scheduled to be received by May 2012.
My country has strong relation and a very strong friendship with Japan. We have a strong relationship regarding trade and economic relations. However Egypt as well as Japan is a member of the IWC (International Whaling Commission) which is clearly against whaling and it is helping take care of the case of Japan whaling in Australia. Our reasons of being against is the event of Japan whaling to sell and traffic whale flesh and having the excuse of a scientific investigation as part of their culture. The IWC main goal is to keep and preserve the whales. Japan has the permit to whale but it is abusing it´s rights by using the permission to commercial whaling. There has been evidence about the event being true. Chile is another country against whaling and has provided pictures and information to the Sea Shepherd and to Australia that there is evidence about this event to be true.
In resume my delegation in officially against Japan in this case and hopes that justice is made in Australia. My delegation is hoping that our decision does not affect Japan and Egypt’s trade relationship because all the statements are true and proved. My delegation is willing to vote in favor of justice and to not justify illegal action with lies involving science and culture.
My delegation is a member of the IWC and will be against all injustice involving illegal whale activities and repeat that Egypt has hope not losing trade relationship for my delegation’s fair decision.
